Pure Bhangra is a bhangra crew based in the Middle East. The crew came into action in November 2011 in an attempt to re-establish the essence of Punjabi culture in the Gulf. The team evolved from a group of university students to a diverse group of members with a common love for the Punjabi folklore. They were recognized regionally after sharing the stage with the leading artist of the Punjabi music industry, Diljit Dosanjh at his debut concert[1] in Dubai. Since 2011, the team has evolved as a North-Indian brand in the Middle East. They’ve taken over many projects that inculcate promoting Punjabi culture.

We don’t belong to a minister’s family, but we have families that support us through thick and thin. We don’t hold huge bank balances to support us, but we have each other to bank on when in time of need, We don’t strive to have individual recognition, but what we do have is a family of individuals that believe in living pure, and raising their communities.
Bhangra is not just a dance for us, it’s a form of expression, it’s a weapon. We are not just a group representing one aspect of India, but exemplifying the fact that dance and music have no bounds. We represent diversity, not just with our members but with our performances. We don’t believe in just being the best, what we do strive and lookout for is to rejuvenate, inspire and educate our communities in every way we can.
